Their father is FANG, a playful and gentle man, a fifth-year teacher at the twins’ elementary school, who feels pressured to make more money to change the family’s current living arrangements.  LIXUE is the twins’ demanding, stay-at-home mother, who loves her children dearly and is fearful about their future.  While Renjin gravitates emotionally to their father, Shen shares a similar bond with their mother.
